Seminar 2 NMAL - Las Cruces NM I experienced the seminar differently than the rest of the class. I attended the classroom portion virtually due to COVID restrictions in El Paso. I felt like the interaction was good and felt included the whole time. Thanks to Tina for setting this arrangement up. I did miss out on the tour of the hemp facility and I felt that would have been neat to experience. The Cattle crossing tour at the border was cancelled due to COVID as well.  The uncertainty tied to COVID is starting to have an impact of the effectiveness of the program. I am a little concerned that the experience wont be the same and we will have to adjust.   The challenge for NMAL as an organization is to find out ways to make the program just as effective although the experiences may be different. I was truly looking forward to the experiences that my friends have talked about in the program but I realize we are going to have to do this differently and I am open to that.

NMAL Initial Thoughts

New Mexico Ag Leadership is a great program that I am excited to be a part of this year. Many of my friends have been through the program and enjoyed the fruits that have come from the experience.  We are beginning this program in different circumstances due to COVID however I am hopeful we will have great experiences that mold our leadership style and impact our future as agricultural leaders.                                                                                                                                                                                 J
